Just keep him alive til he's old enough to know better

That is what I used to say, pretty much everyday. It was my mantra. Keep this boy outta trouble! .... when he ran out into the street without listening and didn't hear me scream 'stop' three times.
He watches and learns and figures things out, some things he probably shouldn't know.
